Aramid Fiber Fabric, woven from high-performance aromatic polyamide fibers, delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio — roughly 5–6 times stronger than steel at equal weight. Thermal stability varies by type: para-aramid withstands up to 180–200°C, while meta-aramid is thermostable to 250°C, with decomposition above 450–500°C. It offers inherent flame retardancy (LOI 28–32), will not melt or drip, and provides excellent cut/impact resistance and chemical stability. Available in plain, twill, or satin weaves with areal weights from 60–650gsm; tensile strength ranges from 800 daN/5cm for lightweight fabrics up to 5,000 daN/5cm for heavy-duty styles, with elongation of 2.0–3.8%. Ideal for ballistic protection, aerospace components, automotive parts, high-temperature insulation, protective apparel, and industrial reinforcement.
